The second annual Payroll Services Summit - 12th November 2020
7th October 2020
PayDashboard’s inaugural Payroll Services Summit was held in London in October 2019. Designed to bring payroll service professionals together, PSS is a platform to share best practice, discuss specific challenges faced in payroll services and learn from key industry figures.
A year later and the payroll landscape has forever changed. Nobody could have anticipated just how much the sector would evolve in 2020, or how many challenges would need to be overcome.

This year’s focus is all about looking to the future for bureaux. Speakers will touch on the challenges of 2020 and the sector’s future from the following three perspectives:
Providing equal value to all clients
How easy is it for a bureau to maintain client relationships while delivering on their expectations? Some clients may have needed more than the usual amount of consultative or advisory services during the Covid lockdown. This was to be expected – but it could potentially have come at a cost to the level of service provided to others. A bureau still needs to maintain a consistent level of performance across their client base to preserve the equal value that it provides to all.
Promoting additional bureau services
Cross-selling is something that many providers will find themselves involved in as they try to promote other services alongside their payroll offering. Getting other teams on board to promote these services could be challenging, but is crucial in expanding client relationships and providing more value as an organisation.
Payroll career development
Without the foundation of a robust payroll team, a flourishing, multi-service bureau would be unachievable. Coaching and career development are now very much part of the payroll sector as different avenues of career progression become available. To retain good staff and nurture their development, providers will need to offer a clear career pathway to remain attractive as an employer.
Join our expert payroll services panellists as they delve deeply into the above topics and share how they have overcome these challenges in their own departments, as well as what they have planned for the future in their respective organisations.
All payroll service professionals are welcome.
