Pay Dashboard - A part of Experian Pay Dashboard

If you've seen any of our recent case studies, presentations, or other marketing collateral, then you've witnessed the handiwork of our Product Marketing Manager extraordinaire, Camilla McDermott. Camilla joined the team at PayDashboard in the winter lockdown of 2020, after having worked at Global App Testing as a Digital Marketing Executive. There she lead on acquisition and lead generation initiatives, marketing to companies or venues in the event space.

However, having found her calling in product marketing, Camilla decided to join PayDashboard where the scope to grow in this area was greater. We sat down to get to know a little more about the woman behind the product:

Q: What made you decided to come and work for PayDashboard?

C: In my previous role, I was the UK Marketing Manager which involved a fair bit of people management. It was a great experience, which lead to many product launches. That's where I realised I wanted to follow a more product-focused role, so I applied for the position at PayDashboard.

Q: What do you enjoy most about working at PayDashboard?

C: I enjoy the variety - and that in my role I work with so many other departments, across so many projects. It's great to be involved in Sales, Marketing, Product and Development to some degree.

Q: What makes you most excited about the product?

C: We're at a really interesting point in the journey. We know what we want from the brand and who we want to work with. Also, having Moneysmart to work with is really exciting. I cannot wait to see where it all goes.

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside work?

C: I enjoy art, doing art courses, and I'm also doing a business course. I also enjoy gigs, exhibitions, and travelling when I can.

Q: Where do you plan to go to on your next big holiday?

C: I'm really hoping to go to Mexico in April 2022.

Q: What's your favourite food?

C: I can't ever turn down a Chinese steamed bun.

Q: If an alien landed on Earth and offered you a chance to see the whole universe, with the caveat being that you'd miss 100 years on Earth - would you do it?

C: No way. I live for small moments, the ones we enjoy in person. Besides, I'd miss the woods too much.

Q: What's a fun fact about you?

C: I'm really freaked out by living statues. I was out shopping and saw someone in stilts in a butterfly costume. It was really unsettling!

Q: What do you hope to see in the future for PayDashboard?

C: More customisation options, and international expansion.

In addition to all her work on the PayDashboard product, Camilla's remit includes overseeing the Moneysmart collateral and partner onboarding. She's also the friendly face in the client product videos, so if you haven't met her yet, no doubt you will very soon!
